I bought it from Japan! It puts you in charge of sega as it fights against a more than slightly similar to sony type company. What you get is the craziest game alive! You fight monsters with famous sega characters of the dreamcast and saturn eras and have to manage your business as well as fend off the other company's attacks. I use a boot disc from utopia for the regional lockout problem, but only for that, don't you accuse me of piracy! It is ntsc, but ntsc-j, not ntsc-us, which i still think isn't fair that we share the same format but we still can't share games or anything else. Sorry, ranting. The hard drive is way outta line, since it would cost too much, and the ridiculous amount of RAM, again too expensive, plus a modded Core i7, once again, much too expensive, really, don't spread blatant lies around, because if SEGA were to make this, they'd go bankrupt within a month of starting production thanks to the $1,000+ production costs. Wow, what a shame that people would do things like that, but if it was real, sign me up, the thing would be the most amazing console in the universe! SEGA still leads with 5 points.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and the "Mystery Console".

Well, we've waited 16 years, but finally SEGA gets enough brains to see we don't want Warehogs or things like that, we just wanted a true sequel to Sonic 3 & Knuckles, a game in the true Genesis style, with only Sonic and just momentum as your help going over loops and corkscrews, no speed pads or teleport pads, just momentum and gravity. WHY ARE VIDEO GAMES SO FREAKING BAD NOWADAYS!!! I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT!!! AHHH!!!!!! Sorry guys, needed to get that off my chest. I really am sick and tired of how bad games are now, they just don't appeal to me anymore. I still play computer games, they rock, and retro games are still good, anything Dreamcast and back is good, and I've been clocking more hours on my 3DO than I have in over 5 years. It's not a good sign, trust me. I'm waiting for Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Project Needlemouse to see what they bring to the party, and if they're good, I might consider playing 7th-gen consoles again. Till then, my DC, GCN, Saturn, SNES, N64, 3DO, and all my other old consoles are getting more play time than ever. Now, what's the problem with new games? Well, the camera control has just gotten worse than ever instead of getting better, the gameplay is horrible, and companies only care about shooters and RPG's, I mean, where did the platformers and the other genres go? Anyway, I need to get back to a game of Star-Control II, The Ur-Quan Masters on my 3DO, and later, I'm going to play some SA1 and NFL 2K, Saints vs. Colts ;).

Dreamcast and Saturn games on PSN, XBLA, and VC?

Hey, people. Sorry for the delay in posting a new post, I've had some stuff going on, but I'm back.
Hey, have you heard the rumors about SEGA putting Dreamcast and Saturn games on PSN, XBLA, and Virtual Console? I for one thing hope this is true, and for the people who say the games will be too big, let me tell you, I saw a file compressed to almost 10% of the original file, so with the compression tech of today, and the tactics people who pirate games use, like downgrading sound and getting rid of certain memory-intensive cut-scenes, we could fit a DC game or a Saturn game into a reasonable size. So, let's hope SEGA does put all our favorite games on the aforementioned download systems. Then, just maybe, we'll see a new console from SEGA, with the money that'll bring in. Anyway, See Ya, and remember, The Dream Lives On, Dreamcast RULES!!!

Sorry

I'm sorry for the interruption. If you people out there are really SEGA fans, you wouldn't be pirating. Even if the games have not been made for however many years, the companies still have copyrights on the name. Sonic Jam was for Saturn, and isn't being sold, so you think, well SEGA isn't making any money off the game, why not? Well, the Sonic the Hedgehog copyright and the trademarks are still around, thus, it's still illegal. I know almost all of you won't listen to me, but hear me out. Would you steal a car? No, but piracy is the same thing, just with software instead of a car. If you want to figure out what games have an expired copyright or an expired trademark, search it on Google. Those games are the only legally downloadable games out there, got it? So, please, if any of you out there care about the future of video games, or getting new home hardware from SEGA, please buy their games legally. Thanks, and if you have any comments, tell them to me, and speak up about this serious issue.

The Saturncast Project

A friend of mine, whose name will not be put on the internet, and I will be making a mod of the Sega Dreamcast and the Sega Saturn, so that both are in one casing, and that will accomplish, although rather crudely, the problem with the Dreamcast having no backwards compatibility with the Saturn. Then the internet went down. (Thanks a lot, AT&T) Plus, my computer was out for repairs, so now is when I get to doing this. I can't believe that it's been 10 years, I can't! I got my Dreamcast in '05, but I've been hooked ever since. I was a strict Saturn fan before that, which explains why I got my Dreamcast so late. Shenmue was my Saturn favorite, and that was partly why I got my Dreamcast, to get Shenmue 2 and the "next - gen" Shenmue. Plus, I wanted to finally see Sonic in 3D, not the 2.5D SEGA was famous for. So I picked up a Dreamcast, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Shenmue 1 and 2, some controllers, some VMUs, a rumble pack, and a microphone for Seaman for about $125.00 on Amazon, which was amazingly low. Plus, on 9/9/09, a new DC game was announced, so I'm picking that up on Amazon when it comes out. Also, I did a torture test with the SG-1000 and an Atari 2600, which, as usual, SEGA won, though the 2600 lasted almost 42 hours, which is pretty darn good. I got the SG-1000 from a Japanese friend of mine, who brought it from Japan on his last trip over there. Anyway, SEGAMAN out!

Another steal from the Dreamcast's rightful anniversary!

Now not only is 9/9/09 being violated by Rockband's release, but now a movie is being released on the same day! I will allow any type of request, and I really love showdowns. I am planning a SNES/Genesis showdown, but I will accept requests. One thing, there are rules: First of all, no consoles before the 8 - bit era, they're too hard to find and too basic to really stand a chance against any consoles after them. Secondly, please no Japan - Only consoles, I would have to wait forever to get them and the shipping would be immense, so no Famicom Disk Systems or Nintendo 64 DDs. Third, no asking me how to mod any consoles or how to get homebrew, because some of that stuff is illegal. Lastly, please do not ask me to modify any of my consoles into different forms, such as a portable Dreamcast or a portable Genesis, it would take too long. Now, on to the contact information. You can e-mail me at cmbrodermann96@aol.com, find me on MySpace as Christian Brodermann or you can simply put a comment in my blog. Thanks!!

Where to buy Sega Dreamcasts

ThinkGeek.com has NEW Sega Dreamcasts that have never been opened for sale! They come with a Dreamcast Console, 1 Controller, a Power Cable, an AV cable with composite video and stereo audio, a phone cable, a 56k Modem built in to the console, which can be used to connect to the internet through dial - up, or through broadband if you're willing to pay a little extra for a broadband adapter, a Dreamcast Web Browser Disc, a Demo Game Disc with demos of a few titles for the Dreamcast, and an instruction manual. This is a US console, so it will not play imports without some type of hack. It also has a 30 day warranty, just in case. Remember, Dreamcast: It's Thinking. To see the Dreamcast commercial, go to You Tube and search Dreamcast Commercial. There you can see many commercials for different games, along with commercials for SegaNet and the console itself. Go check out http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/games/ba52. Do it, now!! Oh, and by the way, the whole Dreamcast package costs $99.99, along with the standard shipping fees.
