Hello, and welcome to SEGA Unlimited. I am SEGAMAN and I am here for two reasons: to educate people of what SEGA did, where it went wrong, and to tell people about the many accomplishments of SEGA. The second purpose is to have SEGA hear our pleas, to have them hear our demands and to follow them, so if you have anything to say to SEGA or have any demands, I am starting a petition to have them listen to these demands and to do what we, the consumer say.
I myself have four demands:
•First of all, NO MORE CROSSOVERS!! After Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, I never want to see the SEGA logo and the Nintendo logo on the same box again!
•Secondly, where is Sonic Adventure 3? We've waited almost 10 years for one game, and one game only, Sonic Adventure 3, we don't want warehogs or swords, we want to run, jump, and spin dash our way through a 3D universe and nothing else, plus we don't want a moral in the game like there was in Sonic Heroes!
•Third, who of you out there wouldn't pay more than $500.00 for a good condition Dreamcast? Now, riddle me this, why are we fighting over the limited supply of sixth - gen consoles? It's because there was no next - gen console from SEGA, they stopped with the Dreamcast, now what I think screwed the Saturn and Dreamcast was Sony, why else would a perfectly good system go down so badly, because there was a shiny new system with supposedly better processing and more power. My cousin owned both a Saturn and a PS1, now he's had to get the PS1 referbished twice in the period of 10 years. He's never had a problem with his Saturn, and trust me that Saturn has been through more than you can imagine. He also has a Genesis, and in the 15 years he's had it he hasn't gotten it referbished once. I have both the Dreamcast and the PS2, and I set up a bot to play the same game on both for about 2 days non-stop, the PS2 crashed after 20 hours, while the Dreamcast lasted all 48 hours. Same thing with the Saturn and the PS1, the PS1, newly referbished crashed after 32 hours, again SEGA pulled through all 48 hours of non-stop play. We need a next - gen SEGA system, I mean, Sony is 3rd place, Microsoft isn't doing much better, so where's that Dreamcast 2000? Who cares if Nintendo doesn't like it, SEGA is separate from Nintendo, and it can do whatever it wants! Even better is if Sega were to get the headstart for an 8th generation of consoles, the 512 - bit era. SEGA HEAR OUR PLEAS!
•Lastly, SEGA must stop focusing on Sonic, there are other franchises they could expand, I mean what happened to Alex Kidd, NiGHTS, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5, Phantasy Star Online, Golden Axe, Ecco The Dolphin, and Jet Grind Radio, I mean, come on, there's a huge selection of characters and franchises to choose from, where's all the entertainment!
